PRESIDENT'S WELCOME
Greetings! On behalf of the dynamic and dedicated ladies of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, I welcome you to our virtual home. We are delighted that you’ve taken the time to become better acquainted with our chapter and the meaningful work we do in the community. For more than 60 years, our chapter has proudly supported the Gulf Coast community, advancing Delta’s legacy through needs‑based service across Harrison, Hancock, and Stone counties. With 145 members, we remain dedicated to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action, as we continue to shine brightly for our chapter and the communities we love.
We are honored to be a part of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, a non‑profit organization that provides assistance and support through established programs in local communities and abroad. Founded on January 13, 1913, by twenty‑two visionary collegiate women at Howard University, Delta Sigma Theta has grown into a sisterhood of more than 300,000 predominantly African-American college‑educated women. Today, the Sorority includes over 1000 chapters across the United States and in international locations such as England, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the Republic of Korea.
Our work is guided by Delta’s Five‑Point Programmatic Thrust:
Whether you are seeking a chapter home, seeking membership information, or simply exploring our impact, we invite you to learn more about our chapter through this website and on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and X).
